What is YPT.Life?

What does YPT.Life encompass?
YPT. lifestyle magazine/website – A behind-the-scenes pass into the incredibly fascinating, whacky and downright amazing destinations both YPT and Pioneer Media take you to featuring untold stories, and analysis from the former Soviet block, frozen conflict zones, North Korea, the world’s least-visited countries and many more places!
Pioneer Podcast – The Pioneer Podcast hosted by Gareth Johnson and Justin Martell is the official podcast of YPT.life with two episodes releasing each month. The hosts speak with a variety of guests from different fields, focusing on adventure travel to “destinations your mother would rather you stay away from.”
The first episode of the podcast, which is available for free in its entirety on Spotify or Apple Podcasts, features lead host Gareth Johnson interviewing co-host Justin Martell on working with YPT as an American in North Korea, the founding of YPT’s media arm Pioneer Media and more!
For future episodes, the first half of the podcast will always be free with there being a second subscriber-only half that gets into juicy details and hard-hitting questions with all of our guests.
Pioneer Video Club – The Pioneer Video club will see us releasing at least one password protected video per month. This will be from a range of places that we travel and edited professionally by the team at Pioneer Media. These are high quality, not casual vids.
Monthly Hangout – YPT.Life strives to connect like-minded adventure travellers who breathe the Pioneer spirit together through monthly zoom calls with subscribers hosted by members of the YPT life and Pioneer Media team. These will be light-hearted chats where we will shoot the breeze over a couple of beers for hours on end once a month. The perfect chance to ask any questions to members of the team and even potentially hear a few off-the-record stories!
